I have been dedicated to teaching children for over 22 years. My passion is helping children achieve their successes through guided individualized experiences and a whole lot of fun. What inspires me when teaching is being able to see a child's growth and helping to foster their love for learning. I enjoy teaching, sharing knowledge and mentoring others. I cherish learning and every year, the children teach me to be a better guide.
I graduated from Valparaiso High School with an Academic Honors Diploma then started working at the Montessori School of Valparaiso, Inc. and taught children there for 20 years. During my first year there, I was the lead of the Enrichment Program, where I fell in love with the Montessori Method. I completed my Preschool and Kindergarten Montessori Training and received my diploma at the North American Montessori Center, a member of the International Montessori Council. I completed 2 years of internship at the Montessori School of Valparaiso, Inc. under the guidance of several AMS-certified Directresses. As part of my professional development, I completed the Positive Discipline in the Classroom training from the Positive Discipline Association.
I look forward to the start of every new school year where I get to meet new children, their families, and introduce them to my family. My husband and I are new parents as of late 2022 and I cannot wait to share my love for Montessori with my child. I am excited to be on another Montessori adventure and cannot wait to share my experiences with the children of the future.
